Log2Go Mobile Terms of Service

Draft for review

Last updated: 2026-07-10

These Terms of Service describe the rules for using Log2Go Mobile and related Log2Go backend services.

This draft is prepared for Google Play submission and public posting. It is not legal advice. Final text should be reviewed before launch if legal assurance is needed.

  1. Service operator

App name: Log2Go Mobile

Developer / operator: Will Sherman - KE5ZQV

  1. What Log2Go does

Log2Go is an amateur-radio logging app. It helps operators log QSOs, maintain station profiles, capture mobile/portable location information, use Net mode workflows, sync records through the Log2Go backend, and connect with supported amateur-radio logbook services.

Log2Go is not a radio transmitter, emergency communications service, legal adviser, or regulatory authority.

  1. User responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • Holding any required amateur-radio license for their own radio operation.
  • Following FCC rules and any other laws or regulations that apply to their radio operation.
  • Operating within their license privileges, band/mode limits, power limits, and station requirements.
  • Verifying any log, upload, export, contact, frequency, or station information before relying on it.
  • Keeping account credentials, connected-service credentials, and devices secure.

Log2Go is not responsible for a user's FCC compliance or legal radio compliance.

  1. Accounts and devices

Some features require a Log2Go account. Users must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials private.

Log2Go may use device registration and email verification to protect accounts. Log2Go may send security notices for account changes, login events, new device authorization, password changes, or account deletion.

  1. Local logging and free features

The Log2Go Mobile app is free to install. Local logging, Net mode, and manual ADIF export stay free unless a future release changes the feature set. Documents and app listings should be updated if the free feature set changes.

  1. Paid backend sync/storage subscription

Backend sync/storage is a paid subscription feature after any trial period. Paid backend features may include:

  • Backend account sync across devices.
  • Cloud logbook storage.
  • LoTW, QRZ.com, and eQSL.cc backend integrations.
  • Connected-service import, upload, and confirmation-status processing.
  • Account-wide Log Stats based on synced and imported records.

The planned subscription terms are:

  • 14-day free trial.
  • $2.99/month monthly plan.
  • $24.99/year yearly plan.

Google Play Billing will be used where required. External billing may be used later only if allowed and implemented. Subscription features, pricing, billing periods, and availability may change over time.

  1. Subscription non-payment and deletion

If a backend sync/storage subscription remains unpaid for 90 days, the subscription is treated as expired. During non-payment, paid backend syncing may be disabled. Encrypted connected-service credentials may be retained during that period so service can resume if payment is resolved.

After 90 days of non-payment, Log2Go notifies the user and schedules server-side data deletion. If payment is not resolved within 7 days after that notice, all user data stored on the server is deleted, including encrypted connected-service credentials.

  1. Connected amateur-radio services

Log2Go may connect to LoTW, QRZ.com, eQSL.cc, and similar services when the user provides credentials or authorizes access.

The user is responsible for complying with those services' rules and terms. Log2Go is not responsible for outages, policy changes, data errors, or availability of third-party services.

When a user manually disables or deletes a connected service, Log2Go deletes that service's stored credentials immediately.

  1. Net mode and third-party content

Net mode may display or send/receive NetLogger-style AIM/chat content and other net participation data. Content from third-party systems or other users may include mistakes or objectionable text.

Log2Go plans basic abuse reporting/blocking later. A full moderation system is not part of launch unless separately implemented. Users should not rely on Net mode for emergency communications.

  1. Data export and deletion

Users can use free manual ADIF export. Users can delete their Log2Go account in the app. Account deletion deletes all server-side QSO data for that account.

Outside-the-app deletion requests can be sent to support@ke5zqv.net and are completed within 7 days after the user verifies ownership.

  1. Refunds

For purchases made through Google Play, refunds are handled through Google Play's refund process. Log2Go may provide support for billing questions, but Google Play policies and purchase screens control Google Play purchases.

  1. Acceptable use

Users must not:

  • Abuse, attack, overload, or probe Log2Go systems.
  • Use Log2Go to harass others.
  • Submit false or unauthorized credentials for connected services.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Use Log2Go for illegal activity.

Log2Go may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, non-payment, or violation of these Terms.

  1. Changes to features and pricing

Log2Go features, pricing, supported services, and platform support may change over time. Changes will be reflected in app screens, public documents, purchase screens, or user notices where appropriate.

  1. Disclaimers

Log2Go is provided as-is and as available. Log2Go does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, successful third-party uploads, or perfect data accuracy.

  1. Strong limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Log2Go and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, service interruptions, third-party service failures, radio compliance issues, or user operating decisions.

  1. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
